BEASTS BURDENED WITH A NEGATIVE IMAGE

My beasts are not of the cuddly kind, though burdened with a negative image. They’re rarely named as a favorite pet, nevertheless they can look fantastic…

SHARK

bombastic brute in flowing curves
gilded bronze – 47 cm →

BAT

a flutter of fleshy wings in a flowing pose
gilded bronze  – 47 cm →

VULTURE

patiently preying on couch potatoes
patinated bronze – 36 cm  ↑

SCORPION

armor plated creepy crawly, ready to sting & pinch
gilded bronze – 36 cm  →

TOAD

haughty turning and presenting othello pieces
oak wood, manzoni wood, ebony wood and some brass for the intern mechanics – 10 cm Ø

STRUCTURE

By manually applying different surface structures, my sculptures such as the scorpion and the bat acquire an extra dynamism in addition to their design.
The shark is very slippery, except for a subtle “brush” structure of the gills…

PETER

When designing the shape of my statues, nothing is left to chance.
My graphic background, especially logo styling, ensures that everything is weighed, deliberated and reconsidered…
These perfectionistic tendencies give me the patience to spend a lot of time and attention on design, execution and the details.
You can experience that in my series of sculptures “animals with a negative image”.
